Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge
Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge
finding a decent place to spend the night in this area is basically non-existent. This area is the most pristine and secluded Louisiana marshland you could possibly visit along the accessible Louisiana Coast and we would like to accommodate your need for a Birdwatching Rental.
The marshlands of Cameron Parish support the Mississippi flyway, the wildlife routes from north to south during seasonal migration for ducks and geese. The marshes offer an abundance of vegetation such as bull rushes, sedges, wild celery, duck potatoes, curly dock and others, providing an abundant of natural food supply for millions of migratory waterfowl. Wading birds include the unique roseate spoonbills, cormorants, white-faced ibises, great blue herons, egrets, bicolor herons and yellow-crowned night herons.
The marshes are also rich with alligator, snakes, opossums, skunks, armadillos, cotton tails, marsh rabbits, nutria, mink, muskrat, otter, raccoons and even the rare red wolf.
Commonly referred to as Louisiana's Outback, the marshes of Cameron Parish, are rich in hunting, fishing, trapping and bird-watching adventures.
If you are needing a place to rent and/or be interested in a guided trip into our private marshes or the Gulf, please contact us and we will provide you information on this opportunity.
